Skyrim is the war-torn and rugged territory at the farthest northern peak of Tamriel. Skyrim is also home to High Hrothgar, the mountain believed to be where the Nordic people were created. Skyrim has had it’s far share of war which has defaced this already rugged landscape. These battles, often brought on by the clash between the settlers from Atmora and Aldmer, eventually led to the rise of Ysgramor. Ysgramor, “from whom all Nordic kings are descended”, expanded his territory by taking territories in Morrowind and High Rock.
After the reign of Ysgramor, during the War of Succession, Skyrim weakened and eventually separated into multiple states. Later came the conflicts with High Rock, the Skyrim Civil War started by the Wolf Queen of Solitude and an invasion on Cyrodiil.
