No Skyrim 3D On The Horizon

No Skyrim 3D on the horizon

Thankfully for those of us who don’t wanna fix what ain’t broke, Skyrim Director Todd Howard has said that Skyrim 3D support is nowhere near the drawing board for Elder Scrolls as a series.

“Honestly, I couldn’t care less — having to wear those glasses!” Howard said, speaking with PSM3 on the topic of Elder Scrolls’ future. “I’m not a 3D fan. It ruins the image for me. I want the clarity.”

For the industry on the whole, a statement like this goes against the grain; companies such as Sony and Nintendo have been pushing 3D functionality as hard as they possibly can, and there’s no doubt that their interest in the gimmick has been a weight on developers across the board. So it’s a rather fresh breath of air to see a power player like Todd Howard speaking out against the practice.
