Honey Glazed Chicken is a Mistlands-tier food that increases your health by 80, stamina by 26, and health regeneration by 5 hp/tick for 30 minutes. To craft it, you’ll first need to combine Chicken Meat, 3 Honey, and 2 Jotun Puffs into Uncooked Honey Glazed Chicken at a Food Preparation Table, and then bake it in a Stone Oven.

Acquisition

  • You’ll need some Chicken Meat, 3 Honey and 2 Jotun Puffs to cook Honey Glazed Chicken
  • Honey Glazed Chicken is cooked in a Stone Oven, but you’ll first assemble the ingredients at a Food Preparation Table

Here’s how to get the ingredients for Honey Glazed Chicken:

  • Chicken Meat is dropped by Hens and Chickens that you can hatch from Eggs
  • Honey is produced by bees when there’s a Queen Bee inside a Beehive
  • Jotun Puffs are farmable orange mushrooms that grow in the Mistlands

Before you can cook your Honey Glazed Chicken, you’ll first need to assemble all the necessary ingredients. Chicken Meat is the trickiest part of it, as Chickens don’t naturally live in the Valheim world. After you defeat Yagluth, the Plains boss, Haldor the trader will start selling Eggs for 1500 Coins each. Placing an Egg near a fire will eventually hatch a Chicken that after a while will grow into a Hen. If you have more than one Hen and you feed them seeds or crops, they’ll produce more Eggs for you. You can also set up an AFK Egg farm. When you have enough Hens, you can start butchering them with a Butcher Knife for Chicken Meat.

To get your hands on some Honey, you’ll need to construct a Beehive with a Queen Bee inside. An active Beehive will continuously produce Honey, but can only hold up to 4 Honey at a time, so make sure you’re gathering it regularly. Having several Beehives is also a good idea.

Jotun Puffs are orange mushrooms you can find growing in the Mistlands. When you find some, you’ll be able to plant them with the Cultivator tool (Corewood x5, Bronze x5) and start growing them. Keep in mind that Jotun Puffs can only grow in the Mistlands, so you’ll need a convenient way of accessing your farm, like a portal.

Take these ingredients to a Food Preparation Table (Iron x5, Finewood x20, Leather Scraps x15) where you’ll assemble Chicken Meat, 3 Honey and 2 Jotun Puffs into Uncooked Honey Glazed Chicken. This will need to then go into a Stone Oven (Iron x15, Stone x20, Surtling Core x4). Setting up a Stone Oven requires an Artisan Table (Wood x10, Dragon Tear x2), which means defeating the boss of the Mountain biome – Moder.

Before using the oven, you’ll need to load up its bottom part with Wood. Then, interact with the top part to load up your Uncooked Honey Glazed Chicken. It will take 50 seconds in the oven for the Honey Glazed Chicken to cook, but if you leave it in there for over 100 seconds, the chicken will turn into Coal.

Uses

  • Food

Upon eating Honey Glazed Chicken, your health will increase by 80, stamina by 26, and health regeneration by 5 hp/tick for 30 minutes. This can be combined with up to two other foods, but you won’t be able to eat more than a single Honey Glazed Chicken at a time.

When you eat it, Honey Glazed Chicken will grant you its listed benefits, but they’ll grow weaker with time. When there’s less than 50% left in the buff duration, or 15 minutes, its icon will flash, allowing you to eat another Honey Glazed Chicken to refresh its effects.

Helpful Tips

  • It takes 50 seconds in the oven for Honey Glazed Chicken to cook, but after 100 seconds, it will turn into Coal
  • Chickens and Hens can eat most seeds, Dandelions, and Barley (not Barley Flour)
  • Hens are guaranteed to drop Chicken Meat, while Chickens only have a 25% chance
