Leaked images of the upcoming Skyrim Funko Pop! figures leaves some fans under impressed.
Back in early January, I wrote about the 2015 release of the Skyrim Funko Pop! collectible figures (in case you missed the article, you can read it here). At the time, Funko hadn’t revealed what characters would be produced to celebrate The Elder Scrolls gaming franchise.
A few months ago, a poster on Reddit shared leaked images of the Skyrim Funko Pop! figures. The images appear to be scanned from a Funko toy catalog, and are marked as “concept art.”
In total, there are six figures represented from The Elder Scrolls series:
Alduin (Skyrim)
Dark Elf in Daedric Armor (Skyrim)
Dovahkiin (Skyrim)
Breton (Elder Scrolls Online)
High Elf (Elder Scrolls Online)
Nord (Elder Scrolls Online)
Fans Under Impressed
Based on the leaked images, it appears that Funko will pay homage to the games’ iconic figures. That said, the fact isn’t lost on Redditors that the toys bear a striking resemblance to past figures produced by Symbiote Studios. On the Reddit thread, some fans bemoaned Funko’s lack of originality.
Draeko-Silver (the original poster), had this to say:
This is very disappointing, I was hopping that we would get at least a COUPLE of new races. But no…just an high elf.
We already have toy version of a nord in iron armor, a breton assassin and a dark elf in daedric armor from Symbiote a couple of years back.
There are 10 playable races in skyrim (that’s not counting the werewolfs, vampires, Falmer or snow elfs) and all we get are races we already have gotten before?
What a wasted opportunity. How about M’aiq the Liar, a whiterun guard with an arrow in his knee, Lydia or Elenwen? Anything would be better than these generic nameless figures, most of which we already have gotten before!
Other posters, like Ghostwolf765, were more pragmatic, looking at the business side of toy production:
Honestly, it is 100% expected for this to be the choices. They are safe bets if they will sale. If the sales are decent then you will probably see some more races or characters…
They made the core people, and the ones they knew would sale. And don’t get me wrong I’d love to see a lot more characters, but I still stand by the fact that sales determines what is made.
So what do you think? Are you happy with the Skyrim Funko Pop! figures represented in the leaked images, or does the lineup leave you feeling disappointed? Do you feel Funko made the right move by concentrating on iconic characters only, or should the company have broken new ground and created a collection with Aela The Huntress, Lydia, etc?

I actually find them pretty cute ! They look very detailed and anyway it’s hard to get a real opinion only on concept arts, I’m waiting for the real figurines !
Hi PopLove, thanks for your comment 🙂 Hopefully we won’t have too much longer to wait for the final product. From my understanding, the Skyrim figures will be available at the end of summer/early fall 2015.
