Farming Clothes – Valheim

If you want a quick boost to your Farming skill in Valheim, you can wear a set of special farming clothes known as the Harvester set. It boosts the Farming skill by 25 and makes your actions consume less stamina overall. This guide will tell you how to find these farming clothes.

  • Harvester set consists of a Straw Hat and either a Harvest Dress or Harvest Tunic
  • Harvester set reduces stamina use by 20% and raises your Farming skill by 25
  • All parts of the set are sold by Hildir after you bring her a Brass Chest

Working the fields consumes stamina. This can be mitigated by eating strong stamina-boosting foods. But you can also lower your base stamina use by 20% if you wear the Harvester set. Not only that, the set also boosts your Farming skill by 25. This set of farming clothes consists of two items you’ll want to wear together – the Straw Hat and either a Harvest Dress or Harvest Tunic. Hildir the trader sells all these items. A Straw Hat will cost you 300 Coins, while both the Harvest Tunic and Harvest Dress will set you back another 550 Coins.

The armor values of the Harvest items are extremely low, so you won’t want to wear them in any sort of combat situation. However, when working your farms, it’s very valuable. The baseline stamina reduction is useful already and will help you farm longer without needing a break. But then, the Farming skill increase will lower the stamina use even further, make your Farming Tools more effective, and grant you a chance to get bonus yields when harvesting crops.

These bonus yields make it so whenever you harvest a crop, there’s a chance you’ll get an extra one. What’s even better, this chance also works on crops you can’t farm yourself. Things like wild berries and mushrooms where you’re forced to wait for their natural respawns. This makes the Farming skill and the Harvester set that boosts it very valuable.

Hildir, the trader who sells the farming clothes, can be tricky to find. If you want to find her, you’ll need to do some travel. Hildir’s shop spawns in the Meadows biome, but one that can’t be too close to your starting location. This means you’ll likely need to sail the world in search of distant Meadows biomes. When you first approach Hildir, your map will be updated with a white shirt icon. Our guide on how to find Hildir will help you get to her faster.

When you initially find Hildir, she won’t be selling the Harvester set. Instead, she’ll give you a series of quests you’ll need to complete to unlock more of her stock. The Harvester set is unlocked after you return the Brass Chest to Hildir. You get it by exploring the Smouldering Tomb dungeon in the Black Forest. Defeat Brenna – the dungeon boss – and you’ll get the chest. Bring the chest back to Hildir and you’ll be able to buy the set. If you require additional assistance, consult our guide on how to complete Hildir’s quests.

Once you return the Brass Chest to Hildir, her stock will be updated with new wares. Among them, you’ll find the pieces of the Harvester set. A Straw Hat is priced at 300 Coins, while both the Harvest Tunic and Harvest Dress will cost you 550 Coins more. You get Coins as drops from certain monsters and can find them inside chests in the world. You can also sell your assorted gems and valuables, like Rubies and Ambers, to traders to get more Coins. When you have enough, buy the parts of the Harvester set, put them on, and enjoy all your neat bonuses.

We hope this guide helped you become a better, and better-dressed, Valheim farmer. If you have any additional questions, don’t hesitate to ask them in the comments.
