Swamp Dweller’s Delight is a Feast that will increase your health by 35, stamina by 35, and health regeneration by 3 hp/tick for 50 minutes. Assembling it requires 8 Sausages, 4 Bloodbags, 2 Turnip Stews, a Woodland Herb Blend, and a Food Preparation Table.

Acquisition

  • To cook a Swamp Dweller’s Delight, you’ll need 8 Sausages, 4 Bloodbags, 2 Turnip Stews, a Woodland Herb Blend, and a Food preparation Table to put them together
  • Most of the ingredients needed for a Swamp Dweller’s Delight can be found in the Swamp biome
  • Before you can eat a Swamp Dweller’s Delight, you’ll first need to place it down using a Serving Tray as a crafting tool

Here’s what you’ll need to put together before you can make a Swamp Dweller’s delight:

  • Sausages are a Swamp-tier food you’ll make by combining 4 Entrails, Boar Meat, and a Thistle in a level 2 Cauldron
  • Bloodbags are dropped by Leeches you’ll frequently find lurking in the dark waters of the Swamp biome
  • Turnip Stew is a Swamp-tier recipe that contains Boar Meat and 3 Turnips, and is cooked in a level 2 Cauldron
  • Woodland Herb Blend is sold by the Bog Witch, priced at 120 Coins for 5 herbs

A Feast is a special kind of food item that provides a buff that last for 50 minutes and can be eaten 10 times before they run out. Unlike regular foods, you can’t eat a Feast from your inventory and need to first place it down on a flat surface.

Crafting a Feast first requires finding the Bog Witch trader in the Swamp biome. When you do find her, you’ll need to purchase a Serving Tray for 140 Coins. The Serving Tray will allow you to place your Feasts. You’ll also need to buy some spices from the witch. For the Swamp Dweller’s Delight, you’ll need a Woodland Herb Blend. The witch starts selling them in bundles of 5 for 120 Coins after you’ve defeated the Elder, who’s the big Black Forest boss.

Sausages are a Swamp-tier food produced in bundles of 4 by combining 4 Entrails, Boar Meat, and a Thistle at a Cauldron upgraded to level 2 by adding a Spice Rack.

Bloodbags are an important ingredient you’ll find in the Swamp biome. They’re dropped by the Leech monsters that live in the numerous pools of water you’ll find in the biome.

Turnip Stew is a simple Swamp-tier recipe that’s made by combining Boar Meat with 3 Turnips at a level 2 Cauldron. However, before you can start cooking it, you’ll need to find some wild Turnip seeds in the Swamp, then set up a Turnip farm.

When you’ve gathered the required ingredients, you’ll take them to a Food Preparation Table (Iron x5, Finewood x20, Leather Scraps x15). There, you’ll assemble 8 Sausages, 4 Bloodbags, 2 Turnip Stews, and a Woodland Herb Blend into a Swamp Dweller’s Delight. After that, you’ll just need to place your Feast using a Serving Tray, then eat it.

Uses

As of this moment, Feasts are used exclusively as a source of food and a base decoration.

Placing a Feast

A Feast needs to be placed on a flat surface before you can eat it, so you won’t be able to use it directly from your inventory. To do so, assign a Serving Tray to your hotbar, then select it. Press the right mouse button to open the crafting menu. The first two tabs will let you place food and Mead on various surfaces as decorations. The third tab will let you place Feasts. Select Swamp Dweller’s Delight in that third tab and use your cursor to place it down.

If you read the Serving Tray description, you might think you need to place your Feasts on a table, but in reality, you can place them just about anywhere. With a Feast placed, approach and interact with it to eat it. You can eat from a Feast up to 10 times. When you’ve eaten the Feast, you may want to remove the clutter left behind. You can do so by using the Serving Tray’s Remove function.

Eating a Feast

While you don’t eat it as an inventory item, eating from a Feast works in a similar way. When you eat from a Swamp Dweller’s Delight, your health increases by 35, stamina by 35, and health regeneration by 3 hp/tick for 50 minutes. You can combine this buff with up to two other foods, but can’t eat from a Swamp Dweller’s Delight more than one bite at a time.

Swamp Dweller’s Delight will initially provide you with its listed benefits, but over time they’ll grow weaker. When there’s just 50% of the buff’s duration left, or 25 minutes, the buff icon will flash, allowing you to eat another bite of Swamp Dweller’s Delight to refresh its effects.

Helpful Tips

  • Swamp Dweller’s Delight is a Swamp-tier Feast that uses other Swamp foods and resources for its ingredients, but the bonuses it grants are the same as you get from the Black Forest Buffet Platter Feast
  • The Bog Witch starts selling Woodland Herb Blend after you’ve defeated the Elder, who’s the boss of the Black Forest biome
  • If you’ve just placed a Feast down, you can remove it with a Serving Tray to get it back into your inventory. But if you eat from it just once, removing the Feast destroys it completely
