Sizzling Berry Broth is an early Ashlands-tier food that increases your health by 28, stamina by 14, Eitr by 85, and health regeneration by 4 hp/tick for 25 minutes. It’s cooked in a level 5 Cauldron by combining 3 Sap, 2 Fiddlehead, and 2 Vineberry Clusters.

Acquisition

  • The recipe for Sizzling Berry Broth requires combining 3 Sap, 2 Fiddlehead, and 2 Vineberry Clusters in a level 5 Cauldron
  • While it’s an Ashlands-tier food, you won’t need the Ashlands Cauldron improvement to cook Sizzling Berry Broth

This is where you’ll find the ingredients for Sizzling Berry Broth:

  • You get Sap by tapping Ancient Roots in the Mistlands with a Sap Extractor
  • Fiddlehead is a swirly pink plant you’ll see growing on the ground in the Ashlands
  • Vineberry Clusters resemble grapes and grow on the sides of buildings in the Ashlands

Sizzling Berry Broth is an Eitr-rich food you’ll be able to start cooking soon after you reach the Ashlands biome. In fact, one of its ingredients is Sap – a resource you probably have a steady supply of thanks to your earlier Mistlands adventures.

Sap is collected from the Ancient Roots you’ll see growing in the Mistlands with the help of Sap Extractors (Yggdrasil Wood x10, Black Metal x5, Dvergr Extractor). To get some Dvergr Extractors you’ll need to raid Dvergr Component Crates sitting inside Dvergr settlements in the Mistlands. Simply looting a crate will turn the nearby Dvergr hostile. If you first lead some monsters to the settlement, you’ll be able to loot the crates without much trouble. Once you’ve assembled your first Sap Extractor, you’ll be able to attach it to an Ancient Root. An extractor produces 1 unit of Sap per minute and can store up to 10 Sap. This means you ideally want several of them going at once, and a convenient way – like a nearby portal – to pick up your Sap.

Fiddlehead is a plant native to the Ashlands biome. It’s pink, swirly, and grows on the ground, frequently in the vicinity of abandoned structures. Once you gather it, it takes 300 minutes to respawn.

Vineberry Clusters also grow in the Ashlands, but on the sides of buildings. The plant itself resembles white grapes, but it grows on red vines. When gathering Vineberry Clusters, there’s a chance you’ll also get some Vineberry Seeds. You can plant those at your main base with the Cultivator tool (Corewood x5, Bronze x5) and start a Vineberry Cluster farm.

To cook these ingredients, you’ll need a level 5 Cauldron (Tin x10). To get it, place the following improvements near your Cauldron – Spice Rack (Dandelion x3, Carrot x2, Mushroom x5, Thistle x3, Turnip x3), Butcher’s Table (Ancient Bark x2, Corewood x4, Finewood x4, Silver x2), Pots and Pans (Iron x5, Copper x5, Black Metal x5, Finewood x10), and Mortar and Pestle (Black Marble x8, Finewood x6, Corewood x4). Then, interact with the Cauldron to combine 3 Sap, 2 Fiddlehead, and 2 Vineberry Clusters into Sizzling Berry Broth.

Food

When you eat Sizzling Berry Broth, your health increases by 28, stamina by 14, Eitr by 85, and health regeneration by 4 hp/tick for 25 minutes. This can be combined with up to two other foods, but you can’t eat more than one Sizzling Berry Broth at once.

The buff granted by Sizzling Berry Broth will start out strong but will fade over time. When there’s just 50% left in its duration, or 12.5 minutes, the buff icon will begin to flash and you’ll be able to eat another Sizzling Berry Broth to refresh the effects.

Helpful Tips

  • You don’t need an Ashlands-specific cooking station to produce Sizzling Berry Broth
  • As you’ll be collecting Sap from your extractors from time to time, it’s good to have a convenient way of reaching them, like a nearby portal
  • Fiddlehead takes 300 minutes to respawn when it’s gathered, so marking good Fiddlehead spots on the maps can be a good idea
  • Vineberry Clusters can grow in most biomes, so you can plant them in your main Meadows base
