Scorching Medley is an Ashlands-tier food that increases your health by 32, stamina by 95, and health regeneration by 4 hp/tick for 25 minutes. You cook it by combining 3 Jotun Puffs, 3 Onions, and 3 Fiddlehead in a level 6 Cauldron.

Acquisition

  • Crafting Scorching Medley requires 3 Jotun Puffs, 3 Onions, 3 Fiddlehead, and a level 6 Cauldron
  • Scorching Medley is the upgraded version of Salad you can cook after reaching the Ashlands biome

These are the ingredients you’ll need to cook Scorching Medley:

  • Jotun Puffs are the glowing orange mushrooms you’ll find in the Mistlands
  • Onions can be grown from the Onion Seeds you can find inside chests in abandoned buildings of the Mountain biome
  • Fiddlehead is a pink swirly plant that grows on the ground in the Ashlands biome

Jotun Puffs, the first ingredient in the recipe, are found growing in the Mistlands biome. When you pick them, you’ll be able to then plant them using the Cultivator tool (Corewood x5, Bronze x5). This will let you create a Jotun Puffs farm. Just keep in mind that these mushrooms can only be grown within the Mistlands biome.

Onions are an elusive resource. They don’t naturally grow in the game. Instead, Onion Seeds can only be found inside chests in abandoned buildings of the Mountain biome. It can take you a while to find some seeds, but when you do, you’ll be able to plant them with the Cultivator tool (Corewood x5, Bronze x5) back in your main base in the Meadows and start growing Onions.

Fiddlehead is the only part of this recipe that can’t be farmed. This swirly pink plant grows on the ground in the Ashlands biome, usually around abandoned structures. When gathered, it respawns after 300 minutes.

Having assembled the ingredients, you’ll also need to upgrade your Cauldron (Tin x10) to level 6. For that, you’ll need to place the following improvements close to it – Spice Rack (Dandelion x3, Carrot x2, Mushroom x5, Thistle x3, Turnip x3), Butcher’s Table (Ancient Bark x2, Corewood x4, Finewood x4, Silver x2), Pots and Pans (Iron x5, Copper x5, Black Metal x5, Finewood x10), Mortar and Pestle (Black Marble x8, Finewood x6, Corewood x4), and Rolling Pins and Cutting Boards (Ashwood x8, Finewood x6, Flametal x4). Then, interact with the Cauldron and combine 3 Jotun Puffs, 3 Onions, and 3 Fiddlehead into 3 plates of Scorching Medley.

Uses

  • Food
  • Feast Ingredient

Food

When eaten, Scorching Medley increases your health by 32, stamina by 95, and health regeneration by 4 hp/tick for 25 minutes. It can be combined with up to two other foods, but you won’t be able to eat more than a single Scorching Medley at once.

The buff you get by eating Scorching Medley starts out strong, but fades over time. With just 50% left in its duration, or 12.5 minutes, the buff icon will start to flash, allowing you to eat another Scorching Medley to refresh its effects.

Feast Ingredient

When the Bog Witch trader was added to the game, she brought with her the new Feast system. To interact with it, you’ll need to purchase a Serving Tray for 140 Coins from the witch, along with some herbs and spices. Scorching Medley is an ingredient in one of the game’s Feasts. Check the Recipes section below for more details.
