Salad is a Mistlands-tier food that increases your health by 26, stamina by 80, and health regeneration by 3 hp/tick for 25 minutes. To cook 3 Salads, you will combine 3 Jotun Puffs, 3 Onions, and 3 Cloudberries in a level 5 Cauldron.

Acuqisition

Here’s how to find the ingredients for a Salad:

  • Jotun Puffs are bright orange mushrooms that grow in the Mistlands
  • Onions are grown from the Onion Seeds you will occasionally find inside chests in abandoned structures in the Mountain biome
  • Cloudberries are yellowish-white berries that grow all over the ground in the Plains biome

Jotun Puffs are quite easy to obtain once you reach the Mistlands biome. These orange mushrooms grow all over the place, but since you’ll need quite a lot of them for various recipes, it’s advisable to start a Jotun Puffs farm in a secluded Mistlands spot with the help of the Cultivator tool (Corewood x5, Bronze x5).

Onions can be tricky to find, as they don’t naturally grow in the game. You will first need to explore the Mountain biome. The chests inside abandoned buildings there can hold some Onion Seeds. You can plant these seeds back at your base with the help of the Cultivator, and then start mass-producing Onions.

You can’t farm Cloudberries, but they might be the single most abundant berry in the game. These yellowish bushes grow in the Plains. Once picked they respawn after 300 minutes.

Once you have a decent supply of the ingredients ready, you’ll need a level 5 Cauldron (Tin x10). This means you’ll want to place a Spice Rack (Dandelion x3, Carrot x2, Mushroom x5, Thistle x3, Turnip x3), Butcher’s Table (Ancient Bark x2, Corewood x4, Finewood x4, Silver x2), Pots and Pans (Iron x5, Copper x5, Black Metal x5, Finewood x10), and Mortar and Pestle (Black Marble x8, Finewood x6, Corewood x4) near your Cauldron. That done, simply combine 3 Jotun Puffs, 3 Onions, and 3 Cloudberries in the Cauldron, and you’ll get 3 Salads.

Uses

Food

When you eat a Salad, your health will increase by 26, stamina by 80, and health regeneration by 3 hp/tick for 25 minutes. This can be combined with up to two other foods, but you can’t eat more than one Salad at a time.

The buff you get by eating a Salad will initially provide its listed benefits, but will grow weaker with time. When you have just 50% in its duration left, or 12.5 minutes, the buff icon will flash and you’ll be able to eat another salad to refresh its effects.

Helpful Tips

  • While not as strong as other Mistlands-tier stamina-boosting foods, each Salad recipe produces 3 Salads, making it very easy to mass-produce. And since its bonuses are still quite respectable, it should become your go-to Mistlands stamina food
  • It can take you a while to find your first Onion Seeds, so if you don’t find some right away, keep searching the chests inside abandoned huts, crumbling towers, and stone circles in the Mountain biome
  • Once picked, Cloudberries take 300 minutes to respawn
  • Since you can only farm Jotun Puffs within the Mistlands, placing a portal near your farm is a good idea
