Fire Resistance Barley Wine

Game: Valheim

Mead

Fortifies you against fire.

Effects: Resistant VS Fire
Ingredients: Barley x10, Cloudberries x10
Biome: Plains
ItemID: BarleyWine

Fire Resistance Barley Wine is a potion that fortifies you against fire. It reduces the fire damage you take by 50% before taking armor into consideration. Everything you need to brew it is found in the Plains biome.

After gathering the required ingredients, you’ll need to put them in a Mead Ketill to create a Barley Wine Base: Fire Resistance. Then, just like with Meads, you put the base in an empty Fermenter and wait 2 in-game days. This gets you a total of 6 Fire Resistance Barley Wines.

While you can assign it to your hotbar, since Fire Resistance Barley Wine is a relatively long-term buff, it might be better to simply right click it in the inventory screen.

This is what you’ll need to make a single Barley Wine Base: Fire Resistance:

  • Barley x10
  • Cloudberries x10

You’ll be able to start brewing Fire Resistance Barley Wine soon after reaching the Plains biome:

  • Barley is a crop that you’ll most frequently find growing inside Fuling villages in the Plains biome.
  • Cloudberries are light yellow berries that grow on bushes in the Plains biome.
  • Since Fuling Villages are limited and don’t respawn, raiding them for Barley is not reliable. Instead, you can create a farm in the Plains biome where you can grow your own Barley using the Barley you loot from Fulings and the Cultivator tool.
  • The resistance provided by the Wine doesn’t stack with other sources of fire resistance – the strongest effect simply overrides all the others.
