Fiery Svinstew is an Ashlands-tier food that raises your health by 95, stamina by 32, and health regeneration by 6 hp/tick for 25 minutes. To cook Fiery Svinstew you’ll combine an Asksvin Tail, 2 Vineberry Clusters, and a Smoke Puff in a level 5 Cauldron.

Acquisition

  • To cook a Fiery Svinstew, you’ll need to combine an Asksvin Tail, 2 Vineberry Clusters, and a Smoke Puff in a level 5 Cauldron
  • Despite being an Ashlands-tier food, Fiery Svinstew only needs a level 5 Cauldron that you should have after exploring the Mistlands

This is what you’ll be looking for if you want to cook a Fiery Svinstew:

  • Asksvin Tails are dropped by the Asksvin monsters living in the Ashlands
  • Vineberry Cluster is a grape-looking berry growing on the walls of abandoned buildings in the Ashlands
  • Smoke Puff is a bulbous mushroom growing all over the ground in the Ashlands

When you reach the Ashlands and have to deal with its increased level of challenge, you’ll want to be fortified by stronger foods. Fiery Svinstew is the first of those foods and a great way to increase your health past what was possible in the previous biomes.

Asksvins are the least threatening enemies of the Ashlands biome. They’re essentially a cross between a Neck and a Lox in terms of behavior. When slain, they drop their tails. And if you don’t want to go out looking for Asksvins every time you need a tail, they can be tamed so you can breed them and even ride them as a mount.

Vineberry Cluster is an Ashlands berry that resembles grapes and grows on vines on the walls of the biome’s buildings. When gathering naturally spawned Vineberry Cluster, there’s a chance you’ll also get some Vineberry Seeds. You can plant them in your main base with the help of the Cultivator tool (Corewood x5, Bronze x5) to easily grow more Vineberry Clusters.

Smoke Puffs are a type of mushroom that grows all over the Ashlands. You can’t farm them, but once picked, they respawn after 240 minutes.

Having collected all the ingredients, you’ll need to combine them in a level 5 Cauldron. This means you’ll need the following improvements placed near it – Spice Rack (Dandelion x3, Carrot x2, Mushroom x5, Thistle x3, Turnip x3), Butcher’s Table (Ancient Bark x2, Corewood x4, Finewood x4, Silver x2), Pots and Pans (Iron x5, Copper x5, Black Metal x5, Finewood x10), and Mortar and Pestle (Black Marble x8, Finewood x6, Corewood x4). With all that prepared, interact with the Cauldron and combine an Asksvin Tail, 2 Vineberry Clusters, and a Smoke Puff into a Fiery Svinstew.

Uses

  • Food

Food

Upon eating a Fiery Svinstew, your health will increase by 95, stamina by 32, and health regeneration by 6 hp/tick for 25 minutes. You can combine this with up to two other food types, but can’t eat more than one Fiery Svinstew at a time.

The buff granted by Fiery Svinstew will start out strong, but will eventually fade. When there’s just 50% left in its duration, or 12.5 minutes, the buff icon will begin flashing, and you’ll be able to eat another Fiery Svinstew to refresh the effects.

Helpful Tips

  • You can start cooking Fiery Svinstew right after you reach the Ashlands
  • Stronger Asksvin, those with stars around their health bars, drop more tails
  • It takes 240 minutes for Smoke Puffs to respawn, so marking their spawn locations on your map may be a good idea
  • You’re not guaranteed to find Vineberry Seeds when gathering Vineberry Clusters, so if you don’t get some right away, keep looking
