If you want to enjoy the hearty Deer Stew, you will need the following:
Cooked Deer Meat produced by roasting Deer Meat on a Cooking Station
Blueberries that grow on bushes in the Black Forest
Carrots, grown from the wild Carrot Seeds you can find in the Black Forest
Deer are peaceful creatures living in the Meadows and Black Forest biomes. They run away whenever you get near, so make sure you’re using stealth or a ranged weapon to hunt them for the Deer Meat they drop. Cook this Deer Meat on a Cooking Station (Wood x2) for 25 seconds to get Cooked Deer Meat. Carrots are grown with the help of the Cultivator (Corewood x5, Bronze x5) from the seeds you get when picking up a wild carrot plant in the Black Forest. And Blueberries grow naturally on bushes throughout the Black Forest.
With all these ingredients ready, take them to a Cauldron (Tin x10) and interact with it. You’ll be able to combine Cooked Deer Meat, Carrot, and Blueberries into a bowl of Deer Stew.

When you have the Carrot Seeds, you will want to create a Carrot farm. Since Carrots can grow in the Meadows, Black Forest, and Plains biomes, you can farm them in your main Meadows base. All farming is done with the Cultivator tool (Corewood x5, Bronze x5) that you can craft once you’ve explored the Black Forest.
To create a farm, find a flat plot of land or flatten it out yourself. Then equip the Cultivator and right click with it selected on your hotbar. In the menu that appears, select Cultivate and then start left-clicking on the ground to create soil fit for planting. Once you have enough soil, right click again and select Carrots. Plant them in the cultivated soil, then wait for several in-game days. Then go back to your farm and you’ll be able to harvest your Carrots.
Carrots need plenty of room to grow, so don’t plant them close to walls or each other. If you plant a Carrot wrong, it will turn brown and if you hover over it, you’ll get a message saying that the Carrot needs more room to grow. If you do it right, you’ll get a message that your Carrot is healthy.
Once you have your first Carrots, don’t rush to eat them all. Instead, take your first harvest and again using the Cultivator, turn them into Seed-carrots. That way each Carrot can be turned into 3 Carrot Seeds, allowing you to farm Carrots indefinitely.

Food
Upon eating it, Deer Stew will increase your health by 45, stamina by 15, and health regeneration by 3 hp/tick for 25 minutes. These effects can be combined with up to two other food buffs, but you can’t eat more than one Deer Stew at once.
The buff will start out strong, but will fade over time. When there’s just 50% left in its duration, or 12.5 minutes, the buff icon will flash and you’ll be able to eat another Deer Stew to refresh its effects.
Feast Ingredient
The Bog Witch NPC trader was added to the game in a special content update that also introduced Feasts. As such, the witch sells the Serving Tray item for 140 Coins, and certain spices required for these Feasts. Deer Stew is an ingredient in on of them.
