Cooked Hare Meat is a hearty meat you’ll be able to cook soon after reaching the Mistlands biome.

Acquisition

  • To obtain Cooked Hare Meat, you will need to hunt the Hares living in the Mistlands biome and then roast their meat on a Cooking Station
  • It takes 25 seconds for Cooked Hare Meat to prepare
  • Left on the fire for too long, Cooked Hare Meat will eventually become Coal

Hares are just about the only peaceful inhabitants of the Mistlands biome. Whenever you get near them, they will run away so fast, you’ll be questioning how the fabled tortoise ever managed to win that race. So, in order to hunt Hares, you’ll want to have a ranged weapon ready.

Once you’ve shot a few Hares and obtained their meat, take it to a Cooking Station (Wood x2) placed over a fire. Wait for 25 seconds and then pick up your Cooked Hare Meat. Just make sure you don’t leave it burning for too long, or it will turn into Coal.

Food

Consuming Cooked Hare Meat will increase your health by 60, stamina by 20, and health regeneration by 5 hp/tick for 20 minutes. In order to eat it, you simply need to go into your inventory and right click the Cooked Hare Meat. You can combine it with up to two other food types, but you can’t eat more than one Cooked Hare Meat at a time.

Immediately after eating it, Cooked Hare Meat will grant you its full benefits. They will fade with time. Whenever there’s just 50% left in the buff’s duration, or 10 minutes, the buff icon will start flashing and you’ll be able to eat another Cooked Hare Meat to refresh the effects.

Helpful Tips

  • Seeing how Hares are timid and run away at first sight of you, having a good ranged weapon when hunting them is essential.
  • The rarer Hares with stars around their health bars will drop significantly more meat.
  • Hare Meat is an ingredient for some advanced Mistlands recipes, and as such simply roasting it may not be the best idea.
