Bukeperries are a special food that removes all active food buffs by making you sick for 15 seconds. They’re dropped by Greydwarf Shamans and Fuling Shamans.

Acquisition

  • Bukeperries don’t grow naturally and are only found as drops from Greydwarf Shamans (Black Forest) and Fuling Shamans (Plains)
  • Bukeperries are a guaranteed drop from both of those monster types

You won’t have to go far to get your hands on some Bukeperries. Soon after you leave the relative safety of the Meadows and start exploring the Black Forest biome, you’ll start getting attacked by various Greydwarf enemies. Among them will be some Greydwarf Shamans. You’ll recognize them by their glowing green eyes and the similarly green poison clouds they’ll attack you with. When slain, they’re guaranteed to drop some Bukeperries.

Later in the game, when exploring the Plains biome, you’ll stumble onto some primitive Fuling villages. Inside, among the regular Fulings, you’ll occasionally spot Fulling Shamans. They’re green and squat, and carry big staffs. You’ll recognize them when they start throwing fireballs at you and casting protective shields on their allies. Upon defeat, they drop some Bukeperries just like Greydwarf shamans.

Uses

Bukeperries are a unique food in that they don’t provide a food buff. Instead, when you eat some by right-clicking them in your inventory, they remove any food buffs you currently have active. This is useful when you’ve eaten the wrong type of food on accident and want to quickly change your food buffs.

Upon eating some Bukeperries, your screen will start shaking as your character gradually removes any active food buffs while taking minor damage. This effect lasts 15 seconds. During it, your health and stamina regeneration will be reduced to 0 while your movement speed will drop 50%.

Helpful Tips

  • Stronger Greydwarf Shamans, those with stars around their health bars, will drop more Bukeperries when slain
  • If you eat some food during the 15 seconds of the Bukeperries effect, that food’s buff too will be cleared, so make sure to only eat new food after Bukeperries are no longer active
  • If you’re not above using console commands, the “puke” command acts just like Bukeperries but without the annoying screen shake effect
