Crimson Herring Studios’ Sovereign Syndicate was a pretty interesting twist on the Disco Elysium formula. Instead of dice rolls, it had Tarot Cards, and instead of a vaguely Eastern European backdrop, it featured a Victorian steampunk fantasy setting. For a game that had plenty of cards already, it’s no surprise that Crimson Herring’s new project continues exploring that angle. This brings us to Hunter’s Moon: A Sovereign Syndicate Adventure. Quietly revealed a few months back, this project will once again be set in the world of Sovereign Syndicate and serve as its prequel. Only this time around, we won’t be getting a narrative adventure with RPG elements. We’ll be getting a full-on roguelike deckbuilder.

According to a press release we’ve received, Hunter’s Moon will be priced at $19.99 or your regional equivalent and is tentatively scheduled for a Q4 2025 launch. On release, the game will be available on PC, as well as Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2 consoles. The game’s art is somewhat reminiscent of Darkest Dungeon. And it’s said to feature a rich narrative, four playable classes, a dynamic deckbuilding system you’ll utilize in plenty of turn-based fights, some ties to the earlier Sovereign Syndicate game, and a meta progression system that will let you become stronger between runs.
