During the Game Awards 2022, the newest trailer for Diablo IV was released. This cinematic trailer teases an important fight within the story and gives us a release date for the game.
The trailer for Diablo IV is essentially just a cinematic cutscene, however it could be showing an important moment in the story. It features Tyrael leading an army to hell in order to fight Lilith, the antagonist of the game.
The trailer cuts off just as the two are about to fight, so we don’t get to see the result. However, it is probably safe to assume that Lilith will win one way or another, as your character will ultimately have to put a stop to her. Saving Tyrael in the aftermath of this battle may end up being a part of the story as well.
Release Date and Preorder Bonuses
At the end of the trailer, the release date for Diablo IV was revealed to be June 6, 2023. The preorders are available on the Battle.net shop, with details of each version you can get.
Preordering any edition of the game will give you the following:
Early access to the upcoming Open Beta
The Light Bearer Mount
Inarius Wings and an Inarius Murloc Pet in Diablo III
The Amalgam of Rage Mount in World of Warcraft
The Umber Winged Darkness Cosmetics Set in Diablo Immortal
Keep in mind that everything besides the Light Bearer Mount will require you to have the respective games to take advantage of.
Getting the Digital Deluxe Edition will add a few extra things:
Early Access to Diablo IV (up to 4 days early)
Temptation Mount
Hellborn Carapace Mount Armor
Premium Seasonal Battle Pass Unlock
Finally, there is the Ultimate Edition. This comes with everything the Digital Deluxe Edition does, as well as the Battle Pass being upgraded to the Accelerated Seasonal Battle Pass Unlock, which is the same as the Premium one, except it allows you to skip 20 Tiers. Finally, you will also get the Wings of the Creator Emote with this version.
All the Editions for Diablo IV are available for preorder now. With an open beta coming sometime next year, players will get a much better idea on if they will want to purchase the game or not ahead of its release.

I'm a huge gamer who especially loves the Final Fantasy series. I will play just about any game, especially if it has anything resembling a Dragoon.
