Joining the fight to liberate Far Cry 6
The Far Cry series has taken us to the Rook Islands in Far Cry 3, the country of Kyrat in Far Cry 4, and the state of Montana in Far Cry 5. Far Cry 6 has its own adventures waiting for us yet again in the Caribbean island, Yara. In this Far Cry release, we’ll be following the story of the president of the island Anton Castillo and his son Diego Castillo. Being a thirteen-year-old boy in the mix of a revolution on the island and being the son of a dictator, we’ll be sure to grasp onto a hard life story from both sides of how Diego lives his life. The gamer will play in the boots of Dani Rojas, whose character can be played through a female or male character. The main goal is to spark the fire of the revolution and ensure that the son of Anton Castillo doesn’t follow in the footsteps of his father once the revolution is over.
The game will occur in the islands, cities, jungles, and even take us to the capital building to fight our way through guerilla warfare to ensure we make a change. Having a grasping background story and the future of ray tracing in his Far Cry game, we’re for sure in store for a great release, hopefully coming around March to May of next year.
While the Far Cry 6 release may have been delayed because of what’s going on in the world today, it’ll be worth the wait to see how the release will give the Far Cry fans another story to talk about for years to come.
How to join the hype-train
As of now, we don’t know the exact release day of Far Cry 6. But we hope for a 2021 release around March-May. Before the game is fully released, Ubisoft has already announced what fans of the series can get when they pre-order the game.
With the Far Cry 6 Standard Edition pre-order package, you’ll get access to a copy of the game on release day and access to the Libertad pack that includes a disc launcher that will drive your enemies away and the attack dog gear for Chorizo to join the fight with you!
The gold edition for Far Cry 6 will include the main game on release and the game’s season pass that will include up to three future DLC for the game and more exclusives to help your fight in the revolution.
The Gold Edition Steelbook will include the same extras that the gold edition has, but you’ll get a steelbook case for your game with some great artwork showing off our friends Anton Castillo and his son Diego Castillo.
The Ultimate Edition pre-order will give access to the exclusive Ultimate pack with three packs of character customizations, along with the gold edition season pass with DLC.
And for those true Far Cry fans that want to join the fight through and through, you’ll want to get the Collector’s Edition that includes everything that the gold and ultimate editions include. Still, with the collector’s edition exclusives, you’ll gain access to a statue of a flamethrower that you’ll be able to use in the game, and also a few little goodies like the games map, a keyring of your army doggo Chorizo, and the soundtrack of Far Cry 6 to enjoy outside of the game.
While we may not be able to pre-order the game fully at this time until an official release day is announced, it’s still great to see that Ubisoft has another great story and deals for the fans that can’t wait until we’re able to get our hands on the game.
What’s next for Far Cry?
After going through the next Far Cry game and knowing what’s to come, you can’t help but think what’s next after Far Cry 6. After five fully played and released Far Cry games, I know that there are still a few regions that Ubisoft could still let us start a revolution in, escape from, or even be our own Dictator in. While we’re able to dream about the next releases, seeing the last few Far Cry releases that include Far Cry 5 and upcoming Far Cry 6, we can see a great pattern of more in-depth story making in the games to ensure the gamer is intrigued, not only in the games first-person shooting mechanics, but the storyline too. We’ll be sure to follow suit on what’s to come with the Far Cry 6 release and any future talks about another Far Cry addition to the series.
