So, are gigantic stone statues containing puzzles creepy, or inspiring? A question for another time, perhaps. For now, this walkthrough will guide you through the statue-filled anthropic hills in order to solve 2 very particular statues: a Pandora Puzzle that is peculiarly lacking something, and a Prometheus Puzzle that will have you soaring through the air.
The Star Statue Puzzles in The Talos Principle 2 are puzzles dotted throughout the 12 regions of game, with 2 Statues in each region. Solving them allows you to acquire Stars, and once you have them all, you’ll be able to enter the Astronomical Temple near the Megastructure.
There are 3 different kinds of Star Statue Puzzles: Prometheus Puzzles, which require you to chase his sprites through the region; Pandora Puzzles, which require to you connect her box to a beam to activate; and Sphinx Puzzles, which require you to solve a key placard.
Anthropic Hills (West 2) Pandora Puzzle
To find the Pandora Statue in the Anthopic Hills, you will first need to go past Puzzle 3 (Image 1), and then follow the beam you’ll see above you to the left (Image 2). This will lead you to the Pandora Statue (Image 3), where you should take note of the fact that her box doesn’t have a Receiver this time…
To resolve this dilemma, start by heading into Puzzle 4 (Image 4), then use the Connector to connect the Blue Generator (Image 5) and the Connector outside the puzzle (Image 6), which will power the beam you passed earlier to reach the Statue itself (Image 7). But there is still something missing…

Next, take the Activator in this same Puzzle and bring it into the same room as the Blue Generator until you see 2 doorways will be powered by it, then connect it to the Generator (Image 8). This will power something through the wall of the Puzzle (Image 9). To reach it, go out of the puzzle and around to the left (facing the puzzle) (Image 10), where you’ll find a secret room containing a Drill (Image 11).

Grab this drill and take it right on past Puzzles 5, 6, and 7 (Images 12, 13, and 14, respectively).

Once you reach a stairway going up to Puzzle 7, nested within a statue’s hand (Image 15), then you can turn to the left to see a drillable wall (Image 16), which you can drill through in order to reach a hidden Activator (Image 17).

Now, you can take this Activator all the way back the other way. Go past Puzzle 4 again (Image 18), then to the Pandora Statue (Image 19). Once there, you can connect the Activator to the now-Blue Connector (Image 20), and then place it once the Pandora head shows up as an icon on your HUD (also Image 20). This will power up Pandora, completing the Puzzle (Image 21).

Once powered, you can then grab the Star from under Pandora (Image 22).

Anthropic Hills (West 2) Prometheus Puzzle
To reach the Prometheus Statue, you’ll need to go past Puzzle 7 (Image 1), and then continue along an arm-stairway up to a serene outcropping (Image 2). Here, the Prometeus State will be (Image 3).

To find the Sprite you’ll need to bring back to him, you should head past Puzzle 8 to the left (Image 4), then go up the stairs you’ll come across (Image 5). After that, pass by the Hand Terminal by going to its right (Image 6), jump over some rocks (Image 7), and you’ll find the Sprite within the grasp of a downturned stone hand (Image 8).
Image 4Image 5Image 6Image 7Image 8
The Sprite will then go to the base of a fan (Image 9). After touching it… well, you don’t want to miss out! Jump on the fan to fly up to about where the Sprite’s next location will be (Image 10 and 11).
Image 9Image 10Image 11
The Sprite will next move into a canyon, first by going to a ledge partway up its wall (Image 12), then by going right into the valley of the canyon (Image 13), where you can keep up with it by going along the trail (Image 14). Next, it will continue on until it goes around some rocks and ends up right next to a cliff (Image 15).
Image 12Image 13Image 14Image 15
Now for the fun part. The Sprite will next go down off the cliff, appearing to hover in a place where you’d die if you leapt (Image 16). But, that is not so: simply leap towards it, and then expect to be carried up to safety by a particularly strong updraft (Image 17), which will deposit you right next to the Prometheus Statue, where the Sprite will soon come to rest in front of (Image 18).
Image 16Image 17Image 18
Once you’ve gotten the Sprite all the way back to the Statue, you will be able to collect a Star from Prometheus (Image 19).

Collecting both Stars in the region will make progress toward opening up the Astronomical Temple outside the Megastructure, but you will need all 24 Stars from each of the 12 Regions in order to do so. Check out our other Star Statue guides for information.
