Diablo II: Resurrected Early Access and Open Betas Begin August 13

It’s almost time to return to Sanctuary. This week and next, Diablo II: Resurrected beta tests will become available; first, for players who have already pre-purchased the game, and then for anyone who wants to participate in testing.

Beginning Friday, August 13th, anyone who has pre-ordered Diablo II: Resurrected (or the Diablo Prime Evil Collection) will be able to participate in the Early Access Beta, starting at 10am PDT. Preloading of the game will become available tomorrow, August 11th, for anyone who has pre-ordered. Console players will need Xbox Live Gold or PS+ in order to access the Early Access Beta.

The following week, on Friday, August 20th, the Open Beta will begin. Anyone will be able to participate, even if you haven’t yet pre-ordered the game. Preloading for the Open Beta will become available August 17th for consoles and August 18th for PC players. Console players will not need Xbox Live Gold or PS+ in order to access the Open Beta (though on PlayStations, PS+ is still a requirement for online multiplayer).

The Early Access Beta will run until August 17th, 10am PDT. The Open Beta will run until August 23rd, 10am PDT, and includes 5 of the 7 classes: the Amazon, Barbarian, Sorceress, Druid, and Paladin. The Assassin and Necromancer will become available when the game officially launches.
