Overwatch Sombra Release on November 1st

If you have been avidly following the Overwatch Sombra ARG Reddit then you’re no doubt aware that some Overwatch players highly skilled in investigation and puzzle solving are close to tracking down the elusive Sombra.

Some Reddit users have pieced together more clues and are now pretty darn confident that the Sombra release will take place on November the 1^st at 20:00 US time.

And to get this highly exciting bit of information, all they had to do was convert some Mayan numbers in to Morse code which lead them to a web page with a message from Sombra herself. Easy right? Like how could we not have spotted that before (Yes, that was sarcasm) Seriously how do people find stuff like this. Well, I’m glad they did.

Sombra’s message was this…

“The moment has come. The emails have exposed the truth about Portero. The upraising has started and the people of Mexico is with us. It is the moment to Strike. We will take over his 11/1 event and we will strike him. I need you to do one thing.”

“Get access to the Security Chief Email and search for a way to help me with the attack. He might contact Portero soon. I have changed his password to: d0r*NuLw9”

For those not familiar with her, Sombra’s a very bad-ass hacker, who got pretty much ruined by the Omniacs before joining Talon. What she’ll bring to the game is very much open for debate. From the images we’ve seen, she could almost be pegged as a cross between Tracer and Torbjorn, though this is guesswork on my part. I’m hoping she’ll have some interesting skills like being able to hack the other teams turrets and so on.

Right, now we still don’t know how we’re going to help with the attack. Regardless we’re getting much closer to a new hero in our favourite FPS, Overwatch.
