Newt One: 3D Platformer Out February 14th

Newt One is a brand new indie game developed by team of two, DevNAri. Set in a very cute world that is all about bringing happiness, life and music, this new 3D platformer looks very promising. The demo is already available now and, after playing it myself, I would definitely say its worth a go.

You play as Newt, a new tone (see what they did there?) who is celebrating his birthday. However, when he wakes up, he discovers the Elders have been taken are are trapped. This has caused the entire world to be plunged into a Great Slumber. The player must restore the world to all its glory. Seek out friends and objects to help you along the way and bring back the music and colour to the realms!

This game is very cutesy and bright. And, to be honest, it makes for a breath of fresh air. There is no violence in this game. Just fun and challenging platforming. The idea is to touch all the objects within each level to restore it to its former magnificence. But, this isn’t as easy as it may sound. You will, along the way, gain instruments to help you out such as the magic wands of the realms. The task is simple but you can still have fun while doing it.

The demo is free to play right now but they full game will be released on February 14th 2018. I think this game has a lot of potential. The art style is fantastic and the music is very fitting. My favourite thing about Newt One is how the music adapts to the world. Apart from getting a little stuck on one of the demo levels, I think overall, it is going to be a great game. It has won several awards already and I can see why.

I've always had a passion for games and, since I found my passion for writing, I wanted to write about them. I'll play just about anything if I can get my hands on it. I have an unhealthy obsession with all things Star Wars and my motto is "Never apologise for being a nerd."
