The latest expansion pack for the real-life simulator Sims 4 is due for
release on the PC on the 21st June, and 16th July for the
Playstation, and Xbox One . Island Living, unsurprisingly is all about life on
a tropical island, where your sims can relax, enjoy water sports and even do
their bit to keep the beached pristine.
Island Living introduces the sun-soaked island of Sulani, where your sims
have access to all the activities both on the island and the clear, blue seas
that surround it. Canoe riding, aqua-zip rides, and pools of dolphins for your Sims
to swim with. If you fancy something less exciting, your sims can build sandcastles
on the beautiful beaches, or immerse themselves in the Sulani lifestyle, by
learning their folklore, dressing in their traditional clothing, and trying the
local foods.
These beaches don’t keep themselves beautiful though. Take the time to take
care of the island and it will become more lush and filled with nature.
“With Island Living, the development team wanted to give players
the chance to escape with their Sims to a peaceful, unique paradise and truly
connect with nature,” said Mike Duke, Senior Producer of The Sims 4.
“This expansion will enable fans and their Sims to find their bliss, whether
it is relaxing under a palm tree on the beach, befriending a mermaid along the
coral reefs, or protecting the Sulani environment and ensuring that the island
becomes more beautiful than ever.”
The Sims is also proud to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community with a new partnership with the It Gets Better Project. From the 18th June, players will be able to access exclusive It Gets Better and pride in-game clothing in The Sims 4 (PC Only), The Sims FreePlay and The Sims Mobile. Look out for more pride items, including a gender-neutral bathroom door in The Sims 4. Console owners will have to wait until July to get their hands on the Pride goodies.
There’s even more Sims 4 content being released over the coming months,
including a Moschino Stuff pack, that includes items from the real-life
Moschino X The Sims Capsule Collection, plus the ability to become a fashion
photographer. There’s also magic in the air, with The Sims 4Realm of
Magic Game Pack with more details to be shared later this year.
