Drums of
War is a VR music rhythm game created by the 30-year game industry veteran, Alan
Flores, that puts you in control of a massive rampaging orc, who stomps his way
across the landscape, playing the drums and slaying a vast host of mythical
attackers.
Hit the drums to the correct rhythm and you walk, start to lose the rhythm and you’ll find yourself veering off to the left and right. You can also use your side drums to turn a full 360 degrees. Though walking is not the most fun part, the two center drums fire off deadly cannonballs, and you can use the stick to throw fireballs. Don’t let those pesky dwarfs live, destroy their towns and villages, and claim back the right to call yourself, King of the Mountain.
Drums of war was created by Alan Flores, a man with two decades of experience in the video gaming gaming industry. He was the Lead Designer on Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock, Guitar Hero Metallica, Band Hero, Tony Hawk’s Project 8, Tony Hawk’s Underground 2, Sports Champions 2, and many more. There’s also a fantastic original score composed by Gabe Castro, composer of the indie hit The Forest and a featured musician in Blasters of the Universe, HBO’s Vice Principals, and Portlandia.
If you prefer a little more metal in your music then you’ll be pleased to know that Drums of War includes ear-drum blasting tracks from popular metal bands Warbringer and Exmortus.
