Bethesda’s Secret Game – Coming 2017

Okay, so this was news to me too. When heard that Bethesda is bringing out another game this year that they haven’t told anyone about yet. Of course, my first thought was “Please be Elder Scrolls VI!” But, I doubt they could keep something like that secret. Or maybe they can. The surprising thing is, this “secret announcement” was brought up in your standard interview. So, what could Bethesda’s secret game be? Is it a new IP? Perhaps a continuation of a franchise? We already know what Bethesda announced at E3 and this is supposed to be something different and shiny.

Why the secrecy?

So, we know that E3 is usually the place for big announcements. And, you would thing, that Bethesda would have said something before now. Although, this is not the first time that Bethesda have sprung a new game on us, more or less, last minute. Anyone recall the Fallout 4 announcement? It may have been expected at E3 but no-one was expecting it to be released on such short notice. This, for me at least, kept the hype fresh. Just a few months to prepare myself for the awesomeness of Fallout 4. So, Bethesda’s secret game announcement could be a good bit of hype. Or, maybe not. Either way, it is certainly going to get them a lot of attention over the next few months.

What could it be?

Well, see this is where I question things. As I said before, if it were something as big as the next TES game, I doubt they could have kept it under wraps for so long. It’s a huge franchise and people want to know about it. So, unfortunately, as much as I want it to be, I highly doubt it. So then, what else could it be? A brand new IP perhaps? It’s plausible. But, again, if this is a major announcement surely they would have brought it up sooner. It could even be something like DLC or something of a similar nature. Of course, there is no way of truly knowing yet so, we will just have to wait and see.

There are only 4 months left of the year, so we will know soon enough. I’m just hoping it isn’t Skyrim Special Edition being brought out on yet ANOTHER console.
