Assault Android Cactus, is an action-packed arcade-style twin-stick shooter developed by Witch Beam available for PlayStation 4, Windows, Mac and Linux. “What about us xBox One owners?” I hear you all ask in unison. Well, worry no longer, because Assault Android Cactus is heading your way on the 7th November 2017.
It’s due to be launched alongside the Xbox One X, and will début with native 4K 60fps support and include an optional developer commentary. Still, not convinced well you can still try it before you splash the cash (Even though it is only $14.99) with a free 30-minute trial of the upcoming console version on the Xbox One and Xbox One X.
Follow Junior Constable Cactus and her friends across 25 action-packed levels as they try to regain control of the Genki Star space freighter from robot workers that have gone just that little bit psychotic. Avoid every laser, bullet and explosion that threatens your live but do it before your battery runs out.
Rather than a standard health bar, Assault Android Cactus gives you a continuously draining battery. With the constant threat of a dead battery (like anyone with a smart phone older than 2 years, you’ll have to make every second count. Smoothly manoeuvre through endless swarms of relentless robots, grab power-ups and all-important batteries from fallen enemies to give you the energy and firepower you need to defeat the constant stream of attackers.
Assault Android Cactus gives you control over one of nine android heroines each with their own character-specific primary weapon with infinite ammo and a more powerful secondary weapon with a cooldown timer. It’s up to you to know when the best time to use your secondary weapon is. Make a mistake and it’ll be on cooldown when you need to blast seven shades of shpoopie out of your enemies.
You don’t have to do this along though, Assault Android Cactus supports a multiplayer option of up to four people.
There are a large amount of game options to test your ‘metal'(Because you’re an android. Gettit?) There’s Infinity Drive which throws out wave after wave of mechanical minions. Take on large and powerful enemies in the Boss Rush mode. Take a wander through the Daily Drive for a new daily challenge every day. Unlock EX options that open up a first-person perspective, powerful MEGA weapons, or an A.I. partner to bring along for the ride.

Assault Android Cactus is currently available for PlayStation 4, Windows, Mac and Linux for $14.99 USD. Those platforms and the Xbox One release will be available in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish and Japanese.
