Unique Items, as the name suggests, are special items encountered in Dragon Age: The Veilguard that provide powerful effects. Those effects tend to be strong enough to put them on par with Legendary Items, providing even stronger bonuses in some cases.
This guide covers all of the game’s Unique Items, where to get them, and their effects.
This guide is currently a work in progress; it will be actively updated over time.
What Are Unique Items?
Similar to some Legendary Items in the game that have preset locations, Unique Items are also found in specific spots, often locked behind either a puzzle or a boss fight. There are two main types of Unique Items in Veilguard: Class-bound and General Unique Items.
Both item types can be found in the same locations, however, for Class-bound items, each Class gets a different item from the same chest.
Unlike Legendary Items that have 4 specific Traits, Unique Items can have different numbers of traits, ranging from one item to another. As a clear example, Jenny’s Belt only has one trait while Cordova’s Toothpick has 3 different Traits.
Unique Items List of Locations
Below, you can find an entire list of Unique Items that we currently know their whereabouts! You will also find a brief description of what they can do/in what type of build they fit, along with their acquisition method.
Treviso Unique Items
Treviso Unique Item #1 – Jenny’s Belt (All Classes)
Jenny’s Belt can be acquired after you unlock Lucanis, shortly after reaching the city of Treviso! This item can’t be acquired without Lucanis, as you need his ability to manipulate Veil Instabilities. Walk through the Heart and Central part of Treviso and head to the upper part of the map, east of The Cantori Diamond. There, you will find the Dellamorte Estates, where a puzzle must be completed.
Once you reach the Dellamorte Estates with Lucanis in your party, you will find a series of 3 levers you must pull along with 4 statues you must turn. All levers can be reached by using Lucanis’ ability on the nearby Veil Instabilities.
Once you pull all the levers, you will unlock the gate behind which the last statue of the puzzle resides. Now that you have access to all statues, you need to use Lucanis’ ability on all the Veils Instabilities next to the statues to reveal shades pointing in specific directions and turn the statues in the direction pointed by the shades.

After you turn all 4 statues in the right direction, all you have to do now is go to the now unlocked gate, and loot the chest to get Jenny’s Belt! Now you can declare yourself a true supporter of the Friends of Red Jenny‘s group.
Jenny’s Belt – Unique Item
Jenny’s Belt is the first Unique Item you can discover in Dragon Age: The Veilguard! Any Class can use the item; being particularly useful for Builds that use Afflictions. The item is one of the very few ways in Veilguard to trigger the Bees! Affliction, and is exceptionally strong early game.
Treviso Unique Item #2 – Unique Weapon (Varies per Class)
To acquire The Point/Cordova’s Toothpick/The Hard Way, unlock the Treviso City area. This can be done after completing the Sea of Blood quest to free Lucanis. You won’t need any special companion ability to unlock the area required for this item! Head over to the far eastern part of Treviso and discover the Streets of Coin Financials.
Streets of Coin Financials – Treviso Map Location
Once there, you need to perform a small series of parkour movements, followed by breaking through a window in an abandoned building and finally revealing the secret passage blocked by the bookshelves to uncover the chest. The bookshelves can simply be interacted with to move them to the side, so no secret puzzle is involved.
To complete the series of parkour movements, you need to climb on the lattice and follow up by using the ladder. Once on top of the roof, you have to climb on top of the boxes and jump across the other building. After you manage to do so, jump again over the ledge on the right and follow the path until you quickly encounter a building with a broken window. Once you jump through the window, on the left side you will notice a stack of bookshelves, interact with them to open a secret passage.
After you complete the series of parkour movements and interact with the bookshelves, you just need to open the chest to acquire The Point/Cordova’s Toothpick/The Hard Way!
The Point – Unique Mage Item
The Point is the first Mage Unique Item that can be acquired in Dragon Age: The Veilguard! The Point is a strong early-game item on higher difficulties when combined with the Necrosis or Bleeding Afflictions. Additionally, the item is great for Death Caller Builds that can easily stack Necrosis, synergizing with the Mortalitasi Greater Passive!
Cordova’s Toothpick – Unique Rogue Item
Cordova’s Toothpick is one of the strongest weapons, if not, the strongest weapon you can acquire for the early/mid sections of Dragon Age: The Veilguard. The item is perfect for any Afflictions-based build focused on Bleeding and Necrosis. This makes it a perfect fit for the Duelist Build since A Thousand Cuts applies Bleeding on each of the 16 consecutive strikes! Bleeding, however, can’t be stacked more than 10 times on a target.
The Hard War – Unique Warrior Item
The Hard Way is the first Warrior Unique Item you can discover! The item is absurdly strong, providing one of the most “unique” bonuses in Veilguard. The permanent Defense reduction works on any mob, including bosses. This means the weapon is strong enough to be used even against late-game bosses on the hardest difficulties as the 50% damage increase is huge in any part of the game. The only issue with the item is its overall low baseline damage in the later parts of the game, but this can be mitigated by equipping a strong Two-Handed Weapon.
The Crossroads Unique Items
Crossroads Unique Item #1 – The Burden Amulet (All Classes)
To acquire The Burden Unique Item, pick up The Heart of Corruption quest in TheCrossroads. This can be done right after encountering the Crossroads for the first time, as the trigger is at the entrance. After picking up the quest, head to Treviso and kill Desmal, Bloodbound to Elgar’nan. The boss is level 25, but can be killed at lower levels as well! Desmal is close to The Cantori Diamond, in the area right next to it.

After you kill Desmal, pick up his orb and head to the Converged City area of The Crossroads. Once you reach the center area of the zone where spirits take shelter, use the orb on the blighted gate to the left that leads to Deep Sorrows. Doing so will allow you to proceed in the area and encounter the Betrayal of Felassan boss.

Killing the boss will allow you to loot the nearby chest and obtain The Burden Unique Item!
The Burden – Unique Item
All classes can acquire The Burden Unique Item! The item is designed for builds focusing on Low Health effects and Enchantments, providing a considerable damage boost. The Burden is among the very niche items in the game, fitting specific playstyles. As such, the item is not recommended for the majority of builds.
