Dying Light 2 Update – March 2021
Dying Light 2 was announced back in 2018 at E3 with a quick fan-grabbing trailer that got all of us Dying Light fans wondering what more info would come after the following months. After a year passed and we got another trailer at 2019 E3, fans started to wonder when we’d get a release date. Before the covid-19 pandemic hit, the Techland team announced some delays in Dying Light 2’s development that would push the release back a bit in 2020. Soon after, fans thought we’d see a release in May of 2020, but that fell sort too. After a long wait, the techland team announced on Twitter on March 12th, 2021, that they got a few words to share with us on March 17th.
The time has finally come that we’ve got the latest sneak peek of Dying Light 2 with a two-minute dev update video. The video addressed the hate the team has received on Twitter, and in which they showed some game footage that offered us what we’d seen in the past year’s trailers with their new combat system in-game and some new zombies. Following a brief speech by the dev team talking about how the whole team at techland needs our trust and support and that the game will be out “very, very soon.” But overall, the trailer told us that they’re listening and that we’ll have more updates coming soon.
Before the video went dark, though, we got a glimpse of a 2021 outro screen. So does this mean the game will be out in 2021? We’ll have to wait and see coming this summer, or maybe even their initial May release date for a possible Demo.
